FK Sūduva have completed the signing of Belgian wide attacker Moutir Chajia as preparations continue for the 2026 Lithuanian Toplyga campaign.
The 27-year-old arrives with extensive experience in Italy’s second tier, having played 105 Serie B matches, scoring four goals and providing 10 assists. Chajia came through Oostende’s youth ranks before moving to Italy with Novara, later spending spells at Estoril’s youth side, Ascoli and on loan at Virtus Entella.
He also featured outside Italy with Lokomotiva in Croatia, before returning to Como and then moving on to Dinamo Batumi in Georgia and Petrolul Ploiești in Romania.
Chajia said he had already been aware of Sūduva through his friendship with Sidy Sanokho, who played for the club last season. “I knew about the club because Sidy is my good friend,” he said. “When I heard my agent was speaking to Sūduva, I called Sidy and he spoke well about the club, so I decided to come here. First I need to get in good physical shape, then I hope to play a lot of matches and help the team reach its goals.”
The Belgian will wear the number 11 shirt in Marijampolė. Sūduva have played four pre-season friendlies and are due to face Latvian side Daugavpils on 14 February at 14:00 in the Marijampolė Football Arena indoor hall.
