Sūduva have strengthened their defensive options by signing 19-year-old Georgian right-back Rati Grigalava.
The Marijampolė club confirmed a deal for the defender, who joined after a trial period and has agreed terms running until the end of the 2027 season. He has most recently represented Georgian second tier side Kolkheti Poti and this will be his first experience playing outside if his home country and in Europe.
Head coach Donatas Vencevičius said Grigalava had made a positive first impression. “He is a young player, he left a good impression and is definitely a prospect,” Vencevičius said.
A Dinamo Tbilisi academy product, Grigalava has represented Georgia at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level. He will wear the number 23 shirt in Marijampolė.
Sūduva began their 2026 Toplyga campaign with a 0-0 draw away to Panevėžys and host Šiauliai on Sunday at 14:15.
