Sūduva retain two foreign players for 2026 season

Lithuanian A Lyga club FK Sūduva have confirmed that foreign players Steve Lawson and Lucky Tom will remain with the team for the 2026 season.

Thirty-one-year-old Togo international defensive midfielder Steve Lawson is set to begin his third consecutive season with the Marijampolė-based club. The experienced midfielder, who has earned 20 caps for the Togo national team, featured in 28 A Lyga matches last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. In the Lithuanian Cup, Lawson added three assists in four matches.

Having previously played for clubs in France, Switzerland, and Scotland, Lawson has now accumulated 66 appearances and nine goals in all competitions across two seasons wearing the Sūduva shirt.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Nigerian attacking player Lucky Tom will also stay with the club for a second season. Last year marked Tom’s first experience in professional football, during which he made 34 appearances, scoring three goals and registering one assist. He also found the net once in four Lithuanian Cup matches.

Sūduva enjoyed a solid campaign last season, reaching the semi-finals of the Lithuanian Cup and finishing just short of third place in the A Lyga standings. The team is scheduled to begin preseason training tomorrow as preparations get underway for the upcoming 2026 season.
