Toplyga club FK Sūduva have brought striker Meinardas Mikulėnas back to the club from Riteriai, with the 23-year-old signing a deal until the end of the 2027 season.
Mikulėnas has scored two goals in five league appearances for Riteriai this season and returns to Marijampolė after a previous spell with Sūduva in 2023. Since then he has also played for Vilnius Žalgiris, Džiugas and Riteriai.
Last season the forward scored nine goals and provided four assists in 34 matches for the Vilnius side. He also recently received his first senior Lithuania call-up and made his debut on Sunday in the national team’s match against Georgia.
Mikulėnas was already in Marijampolė on Monday and took part in Sūduva training. The club are sixth in the Toplyga table with seven points from six matches. Sūduva have lost only once and conceded just twice so far, but have struggled for goals after losing expected first-choice striker Emmanuel Agbor to a serious injury for the rest of the season in round two.
Sūduva’s next match is at home to Riteriai on 3 April at 19:00.
