Irish Premier Division side Bohemians FC have announced the contract extension of Latvian U-19 international Markuss Strods, signing the 18-year-old attacking midfielder through to the end of the 2027 season.

Strods made headlines last week when he scored his first senior goals for Bohemians, netting twice in a dominant 7–0 FAI Cup victory over Killester Donneycarney, helping the Dublin club progress to the next round of the competition.

So far, Strods has made four first-team appearances—three in the League of Ireland Premier Division and one in the FAI Cup. He began his career in the Dundalk academy before making the switch to the Bohemians academy in January 2024.

On the international stage, Strods has already earned eight caps for Latvia’s U-19 national team, scoring once.
