FK Panevezys confirmed today that they have parted ways with manager Stijn Vreven. The club had the option to extend the contract for one more year, but neither side took advantage of that clause.

The 51-year-old Belgium specialist took over Panevežys at the end of May. Vreven led Panevežys to a surprise win in the Champions League 1st qualifying round over Finnish side HJK, ultimately losing to Polish side Jagiellonia in the following round. While in the league, Panevežys finished 8th in this A Lyga season.

With Vreven at the helm, Panevežys won 8 times, drew 10 times, and lost 12 times in all competitions.
