Czech First League side FC Slovan Liberec, home to Latvian international Raimonds Krollis, have announced the signing of Ivorian midfielder Toumani Diakite from BFC Daugavpils.

The 19-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Czech top-flight club, marking a significant step in his young career.

This season has been Diakite’s first in Europe, and he quickly became a key figure for BFC Daugavpils. He featured in 26 Virsliga matches and also played in both of the club’s historic UEFA Conference League debut games.

According to Baltic Football News information, Daugavpils is set to receive a six-figure transfer fee, reportedly close to €200,000 for the deal.

As for Slovan Liberec, the team has had a steady start to the new campaign, collecting eight points from their first seven matches, which currently places them in 8th position in the league table.
