In the final match of Premium Liiga matchday 2, Paide Linnameeskond recorded a convincing 4-0 victory over Nomme Kalju FC, who played the entire second half with ten men. Paide Linnameeskond forward Robi Saarma today had a goal and two assists.

Last season, in their four league encounters, Nomme Kalju secured two wins against Paide, while one match ended in a draw and Paide won the other. Today, Paide aimed to turn the tide after their recent elimination by Nomme in the Estonian Cup quarterfinal, where they lost 0-1 due to a late goal by Ivanov.

Paide took the lead in the 29th minute with a goal from Sten Reinkort, heading into halftime with a 1-0 advantage. Nomme Kalju faced a disadvantage for all the second half as Aleksandr Nikolajev received a straight red card in the 42nd minute.

After the red card, Paide took full advantage of Kalju’s weakened position. Robi Saarma scored a penalty kick early in the second half and later assisted Martin Miller with his second assist in the game. Siim Luts added a goal late in the match, securing a decisive 4-0 victory. Nomme Kalju had a chance to score a consolation goal, but Oleksandr Musolitin’s penalty kick hit the crossbar.

Paide remains at the top of the league table after two matches, maintaining a perfect record, while Nomme Kalju experienced its first loss of the season.
