Dutch right-back Valentino Vermeulen (23) has been officially unveiled by the Lithuanian A Lyga side FC Džiugas. The former Willem II and Borussia Dortmund II defender has been without a club since January this year, following the mutual termination of his contract by the Dutch Willem II, for whom he made 25 appearances, including 3 in Eredivisie.
Rumours of this transfer have been circulating for about a week, and the deal had now been made official.
A product of FC Eindhoven and Willem II academies, Vermeulen fits the profile of a high-quality, cost-effective acquisition for the Telšiai side.
