Newly promoted A Lyga side FK Riteriai has bolstered their squad for the upcoming season by signing Swedish center-back Niclas Hakansson.

The 28-year-old, who stands nearly 2 meters tall, is set to embark on his first international venture in his career. Throughout his time in Sweden, Hakansson has played three seasons in the third division with Sandvikens IF and spent the last two seasons with Gefle in the second league, where he made 34 league appearances.

With this signing, Niclas Hakansson will become the first Swedish player to represent FK Riteriai.

Returning to A Lyga after a year’s absence, Riteriai will kick off their season on Saturday with a home match against FK Sūduva.
