Riteriai and Sūduva play out goalless draw in capital

The 30th round of the Lithuanian A Lyga continued in Vilnius as Riteriai hosted FK Sūduva, with both sides settling for a 0-0 stalemate in a cagey encounter.

The first half offered little action. The home side focused primarily on defense and did so effectively, frustrating Sūduva’s attacks. The visitors came closest to scoring when a throw-in caused confusion in the Vilnius penalty area, but the ball eventually rolled harmlessly past the goal. Riteriai threatened with a few incisive passes into the box, though goalkeeper Ignas Plūkas remained largely untested.

After the break, Sūduva launched a promising move as Sidy Sanokho found Henry Uzochukwu, whose shot was well blocked by Antonio Tuta.

For the remainder of the match, Sūduva controlled possession but failed to create any truly dangerous chances. Both Uzochukwu and Steve Lawson tried their luck, but the deadlock held.

With the draw, Riteriai sit ninth with 18 points, while Sūduva remain third with 51 points.
