Defender Rimvydas Sadauskas, who played in the Chinese league last season, has changed teams but will continue playing in China.
Rimvydas Sadauskas, who represented the Guangzhou team last year, played 23 matches in China and scored one goal. However, the Guangzhou team went bankrupt due to financial difficulties and did not receive a license to compete in Chinese leagues.
Despite this, the former Šiauliai defender will continue his career in China. Sadauskas has moved to the Chongqing Tonglianglong club, which also competes in the second tier of Chinese football. His new team is coached by Spaniard Salva Suay, who previously managed Guangzhou and knows Sadauskas very well. Last season, Chongqing Tonglianglong finished fifth with 50 points, while Guangzhou accumulated 52 points and finished third.
