Riga FC Women delivered a commanding performance in the first Women’s Big Riga Derby of the Latvian Women’s league (SFL), crushing their closest rivals RFS Women with a 5-0 home victory.
The hosts took control of the match early, with Samantha Feller opening the scoring in the 28th minute. Just six minutes later, Alexxis Lipsey doubled the lead, and soon after, Feller struck again to make it 3-0 before halftime. Riga Women continued their dominance in the second half, as Lipsey found the net again shortly after the whistle. The striker completed her hat-trick with a late goal, sealing Riga’s emphatic 5-0 win over their rivals.
The victory sees Riga maintain their perfect record, claiming 15 points in five matches, scoring an impressive 34 goals while conceding none in the process. RFS Women now follow closely behind with 12 points, while Metta sits in third place with seven points from four games. Auda accumulated six points, with Iecava/Olaine standing at four. Liepājas Futbola Skola has three points in five matches, while Rīgas Futbola Skola is still searching for their first points of the season.
