**Riga FC have announced that following their final Latvian Virslīga match of the season – the Rīga Derby against FC RFS – the club will hold a special post-match title celebration ceremony featuring a live performance by British singer John Newman.**

Riga FC, who secured the Virslīga championship last Friday with two rounds remaining, announced on social media that John Newman will perform at Skonto Stadium on November 7 after the derby clash. The English artist is best known for his global hit “Love Me Again,” a song especially familiar to football fans as it featured on the FIFA 14 video game soundtrack.

This season marks Riga FC’s first league title since 2020, capping off a successful campaign. However, the club narrowly missed out on a domestic double after suffering a 1-2 defeat to FK Auda in the Latvian Cup Final at Skonto Stadium earlier this week.
