Brazilian forward Juan Christian (24) has emerged as a transfer target for Latvian side Riga FC, according to local reports.
The attacker, who is currently under contract with Juventude, has already been the subject of an approach from the Latvian Champions. However, Juventude are only willing to negotiate if the player’s release clause – reported to be around R$5 million, which is equivalent to approximately EUR 820,000.00 – is paid in full.
Riga FC are understood to have submitted an offer worth approximately half of that amount, which was rejected by the club from Caxias do Sul, but the negotiations are still ongoing.
Juan Christian has scored two goals for Juventude so far. The club’s board is said to be reluctant to sanction a departure, viewing the forward as an important part of their plans for the season.
