Latvian Virslīga runners-up RFS have officially registered Nigerian forward Kingsley Emenike to their squad. First seen with the team in public during the pre-season photoshoot, Emenike has now been added to the squad list via the Latvian Football Federation.
Emenike, 22, spent last season with Jelgava, scoring 10 goals in 33 league appearances. He enjoyed his most productive outings against RFS, finding the net in a 2-2 draw and twice in Jelgava’s 4-1 win, and also had a summer trial with Riga.
While Emenike has been added ti the squad, RFS have also sent their Argentinian central midfielder Facundo Garcia to Super Nova on loan. The 26-year-old joined RFS last summer from the Cypriot top flight and made five Virslīga appearances. Despite high potential, speed and a powerful long shot, Facu’s adaptation in Latvia has been complicated by personal matters, which requires his a sense from the club during crucial early days.
