Latvian champions FC RFS have announced their squad for the upcoming UEFA Champions League first qualifying round match against Estonian champions FCI Levadia. The match will be played tomorrow at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn, with the RFS squad already having traveled to the Estonian capital earlier today.

UEFA’s official website has published the list of players registered by RFS for the opening round. Clubs are allowed to register up to 25 players, including at least two goalkeepers. Of these, a minimum of eight players must be association-trained—meaning they were registered with any club in the same national association for at least three full seasons or 36 months between the ages of 15 and 21. At least four of these eight must be club-trained, having met the same criteria with their current club.

If a club fails to meet the required number of club- or association-trained players, they cannot fill all 25 available squad slots in UEFA competition.

At present, RFS have filled 22 of the 25 slots in their European roster. They have exactly eight association-trained players, but only one club-trained player—goalkeeper Sergejs Vilkovs. This limitation prevents them from registering a full 25-man squad.

Association-trained players listed include goalkeepers Jevgenijs Nerugals and Sergejs Vilkovs, defenders Roberts Savaļnieks, Elvis Stuglis, and summer signing Roberts Veips, midfielder Dmitrijs Zelenkovs, and brothers Jānis and Dāvis Ikaunieks.

The squad also features several new summer signings who have yet to make their debut for the first team, such as Austrian-born Croatian goalkeeper Marko Maric, Argentine midfielder Facundo Garcia, and Dutch winger Tayrell Wouter. Notably absent is recent Serbian addition Strahinja Rakić, who has not been included in the submitted list.
