RFS twice pulled into the lead before, ultimately drawing 2-2 with Denmark’s Hvidovre in a pre-season friendly at their training camp in Turkey.
Latvian side opened the score just before the half-hour when Mor Talla broke through the middle to pounce on a defensive error of Danish three-times Champions and put the ball past the keeper.
Hvidovre levelled soon afterwards from a set piece, but RFS restored their lead in the 42nd minute when Roberts Veips headed the ball in, also from a set piece. The Danes struck again after the break, with the second half producing no further goals as the game finished in a draw.
RFS have one final friendly left in Turkey on Friday, as they go head to head against a second-tier Czech side from Tábor in a closed-doors match. They will then travel back and play a traditional match against BFC Daugavpils next Saturday.
