The reigning Latvian champions continue to strengthen their side ahead of the European qualifiers as they’ve announced the signing of Facundo García.
The 25-year-old midfielder has represented several of Spain’s lower-league sides, including Valencia’s reserve team. He has also made four Europa League appearances with Cypriot side AEK Larnaca during the 2018/19 season.
The Argentinian started his career at Club Olimpo, making 10 appearances in Argentina’s highest division. He then moved to the Cypriot side AEK Larnaca, where he spent two seasons, even making four appearances in the Europa League and earning an assist against Bayer Leverkusen.
After leaving in 2020, he spent four years in Spain, switching between some of Spain’s third and fourth-tier teams.
García returned to Cyprus last season, signing for Omonia in the first tier of the Cypriot footballing pyramid, scoring two goals in 25 appearances.
Now, Facundo García has joined RFS and signed a contract that will run until the end of the 2027 season.
