Latvian forward Marko Regža continues to search for his first goal in the Czech top flight after his side FC Hradec Králové played out a goalless draw at home against FC Zlín.

The 27-year-old striker made his third consecutive start since joining Hradec from Latvian champions Riga FC. A potential Latvian head-to-head did not materialise, as Zlín midfielder Kristers Penkevics remains sidelined with a muscle injury and has yet to make his debut for the Czech side.

Both teams created chances during the first half. Regža was involved in one of the more notable opportunities in the 36th minute, but his header went narrowly wide of the target.

Regža, who was making his fourth appearance for Hradec since his winter move, played 64 minutes before being substituted. No goals were scored in the remainder of the match, and the sides shared the points.

In the league standings, Hradec Králové sit seventh with 31 points from 23 matches. Zlín are two places behind in ninth, three points adrift.

Hradec will next travel to face FC Slovan Liberec, where another Latvian duel could be on the cards against Raimonds Krollis. Zlín, meanwhile, host FC Viktoria Plzeň the following day.
