The final round before the international break in the Estonian Premium Liiga delivered high drama at A. Le Coq Arena, where league leaders FC Flora overcame a 0:1 deficit to defeat Tartu Tammeka 3:1 in Matchday 15. The result solidifies Flora’s place at the top of the table as they head into the break with momentum on their side.

Flora came into the match riding a four-game win streak, while Tammeka, despite having lost four straight before, had just demolished Kalev 5:0 and looked to build on that resurgence. Notably, Flora handed a rare start to Martin Veering and welcomed back Marco Lukka to the XI. For Tammeka, goal machine Ahmed Adebayo Basher returned from suspension, and Robin Müür got his first start of the season.

The first half offered few clear chances early on, though Flora’s Markus Poom and Rauno Sappinen began probing Tammeka’s backline. Tammeka slowly grew into the game, and in the 39th minute, Basher broke the deadlock. After a well-worked throw-in routine, he danced past two defenders and fired low into the corner for his sixth of the season.

Flora trailed 0:1 at halftime, but the tone quickly shifted after the break. The hosts came out pressing hard, and in the 54th minute, Mihhailov’s precise cross found Poom, whose header leveled the score. Just six minutes later, Poom struck again—this time pouncing on a poor clearance and calmly slotting home to put Flora ahead.

Tammeka, who played very well in the first half, failed to register a single shot in the second, and Flora sealed the result in stoppage time. Poom, once again the architect, delivered a perfect pass to Mihhailov, who finished confidently past Aland. After a quick VAR check for offside, the goal stood, making it 3:1.

Much like in their first meeting this season—where Tammeka led before Flora turned the tide—the green shirts showed their class with a dominant second half. As the league pauses for the international break, Flora remains firmly in control of the title race.
