FK Grobiņa has announced the return of Senegalese winger Pape Doudou. The 21-year-old began the 2025 season with Liepāja but saw his contract terminated just a few days ago, paving the way for his comeback to Grobiņa.
Doudou is no stranger to the Grobiņa faithful, having featured for the team during the first half of last season while on loan. In that spell, he made 17 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists. However, his time at Grobiņa was cut short when FK Liepāja recalled him mid-season.
This season, Doudou managed four appearances for FK Liepāja but failed to register any goals or assists. Now a free agent, he signs a full contract with FK Grobiņa and is set to bolster their attacking options for the remainder of the campaign.
FK Grobiņa currently sit 7th in the Virslīga standings and will look to climb higher as they prepare for their upcoming fixture on Sunday, when they host FK Metta.
