# Panevėžys secure a long-term contract with the goalkeeper

**[FK Panevėžys](https://balticfootballnews.com/?page_id=2388 "FK Panevėžys") announces that they have signed their young goalkeeper, Daniel Bukel, to a long-term contract that will run until the end of the 2027 season.**

The 21-year-old, a native of Vilnius, debuted in the [TOPsport A Lyga](https://balticfootballnews.com/?page_id=1120 "A Lyga") last season, playing two matches against [Vilnius Žalgiris](https://balticfootballnews.com/?page_id=2364 "FK Žalgiris") and FK TransINVEST. He gained additional experience with the reserve team in the **Pirma Lyga**, where he played 24 games and recorded five clean sheets.

Reflecting on his experience, Bukel shared, “_The year was difficult and filled with emotions, but I learned a lot. Personally, I gained valuable insights from the older goalkeepers and the coach during this time.”_

He also expressed his commitment to the club: “_The decision to sign the contract was not difficult because I want to be part of this team and represent this club in the future. I look forward to 2025 when I hope to get my chance to play in the A Lyga, and I aim to strive for victories with the team_,” Bukel told the fk-panevezys.lt website.
