**FK Panevėžys have confirmed that 29-year-old defender Abdoul Dante will not be part of their squad as preparations begin for the new season.**

The Malian defender helped win the Lithuanian cup for Panevežys. He featured four times in that competition and scored twice in 31 A Lyga matches

Panevežys also announced that another defender, Seydina Keita, have left the team. As we reported yesterday the experienced center-back will continue his career in Azerbaijan with Gabala.

Panevėžys thanked both players for their professionalism and wished them well.
