Panevėžys Football Club is steadily strengthening its roster ahead of the upcoming season. The club from Lithuania’s Aukštaitija region has reached an agreement with local defender Rokas Rasimavičius, extending his contract for another year.
The right-back is coming off the most productive season of his career. In the Lithuanian Championship, he appeared in 35 matches, scoring the first goal of his professional career and providing four assists.
In 2025, Rasimavičius also made one appearance for the club’s B team. He featured in four matches in the FPRO LFF Cup, including the victorious final, where he assisted Ariagner Smith for a crucial goal.
The cup triumph marked the first trophy of Rasimavičius’ senior career.
“Without a doubt, last season was the best of my career. We won the cup, and my individual statistics were solid,” the defender told fk-panevezys.lt after signing his extension. “I improved both physically and psychologically, and that helped me play better. In terms of gameplay, I made strong progress in attack, which is reflected in the numbers. My confidence is growing, and I expect even better results next season.
“It’s motivating to know we’ll be playing in the Supercup and the Conference League, not every club gets that opportunity. I also feel the coach’s trust. I proved last season that I can play well, and I’ll prove it again.”
During the off-season, Panevėžys also extended contracts with four other players: Justinas Januševskij, Elivelto, Kwadwo Asamoah, and Vytautas Černiauskas.
