Paide announced that all 2026 season home games will be played on the club’s artificial pitch this season due to ongoing construction works on the new stadium.

Commencement of works on the first phase of a new stadium in central Estonia with support from European Union funding and project partners was announced in early March.

That first phase is set to include a stand building, a competence centre and accommodation facilities, with completion expected in October 2028. Paide have received close to €2.5m in support from Europe for the development.

Explaining the decision to leave the city stadium, Paide’s Director Jaanus Pruuli said the club did not consider it justified to keep investing in infrastructure that will, in the future, be used mainly as a training ground. He added that Paide’s artificial pitch venue is one of the most advanced such stadiums in the Premium liiga and said its visual presentation and technical conditions would help improve the league’s image, both for supporters at the ground and for television audiences.
