Estonian top-flight club Paide Linnameeskond have announced the signing of 21-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder William Gabriel Lins de Sa on a one-year loan from Brazil’s Serie B side Botafogo SP.
Lins has spent his entire career at Botafogo SP. This season, he made five appearances in Brazil’s Serie B while mostly representing the club’s U-20 squad. Over the past three seasons, he has totaled 15 appearances for the first team in Serie B.
Paide’s Sporting Director Gert Kams highlighted Lins’ technical abilities and versatility:
“He is a dangerous player in the attacking third, capable of creating excellent chances for his teammates. William’s biggest strength is his versatility – he can cover multiple positions in midfield, which allows us to make the most of his potential and skills for the benefit of the team.”
Wearing shirt number 43, William Lins shared his excitement about joining the club:
“I have been welcomed very warmly, thank you to everyone! I am ambitious, I have high expectations, and I am confident that together with the team we will achieve all our goals.”
Paide, who advanced to the Estonian Cup Round of 16 today, will next host FC Kuressaare in their upcoming league fixture on Saturday.
