After losing their previous two encounters against Narva Trans by identical 1–0 scorelines, Paide Linnameeskond finally broke the trend, securing a well-earned 2–0 victory during a break between their European fixtures.
The first half at the Paide City Stadium was lively and competitive, with both sides showing attacking intent. However, clear-cut scoring chances were scarce. The first real moment of danger came in the 21st minute, when Jegor Žuravljov won the ball at the edge of Paide’s box and fired from 14 meters — only to see his shot cannon off the post.
Paide had a slight upper hand throughout the half and turned their momentum into a goal in the 27th minute. Henrik Ojamaa delivered a perfectly timed one-touch through ball to Pa Assan Corr, who outpaced Cristian Campagna, charged into the box, and tucked the ball inside the far post — 1–0 for the hosts.
The second half became even more intense, with both teams fighting hard in midfield. Though possession was more balanced, Paide remained firmly in control in terms of limiting Narva’s chances. In the 61st minute, a lapse in Paide’s box almost proved costly when Žuravljov intercepted a poor pass from goalkeeper Marko Meerits. But Oskar Hõim reacted swiftly and blocked the resulting shot with a critical intervention.
The match turned decisively in Paide’s favor in the 77th minute, when Narva striker Josue Doke caught Joseph Saliste in the face with his arm during a sideline tussle and received his second yellow card — reducing the visitors to 10 men. From there, Paide took full command.
In the sixth minute of stoppage time, Abdourahman Badamosi sealed the deal with his first-ever Premium Liiga goal, capitalizing on a direct move to make it 2–0 and put the result beyond doubt.
Thanks to this win Paide are still third in the league table, while Narva after this loss is now six points behind Paide Linnameeskond.
