The semi-final matchups of the Evald Tipner Estonian Cup were confirmed today following the official draw. Paide Linnameeskond will host Pärnu JK Vaprus, while Premium Liiga champions FC Flora Tallinn will face JK Narva Trans.
The semi-final matches are scheduled to take place on May 5 and 6, with the final set to be played in Pärnu on May 23.
One semi-final will see Paide Linnameeskond take on Pärnu JK Vaprus. Paide reached the final four in convincing fashion, defeating JK Tallinna Kalev 6-0 in the quarter-finals. Vaprus, meanwhile, advanced to the Estonian Cup semi-finals for the first time in the club’s history after securing a 2-1 victory over second-tier side Tartu Welco.
In the other semi-final, Flora will host Narva Trans. Flora booked their place in the final four after coming from behind to defeat Nõmme United 3-1. Narva Trans progressed in the most dramatic quarter-final of the round, surrendering a three-goal lead against Esiliiga club Viimsi JK before scoring a stoppage-time winner in the 100th minute to secure a 4-3 victory.
Notably, neither of last season’s finalists will appear in the semi-finals. FCI Levadia Tallinn and defending champions Nõmme Kalju were both eliminated in earlier rounds of the competition.
