Lithuanian defender Sigitas Olberkis was on target in the Albanian top flight, helping AF Elbasani secure a 2-1 victory over KS Vora, represented by fellow Lithuanian Manfredas Ruzgis.
The 28-year-old centre-back started the match and opened the scoring midway through the first half. Following a set piece delivery into the box, Olberkis rose to redirect the ball into the net with a header, marking his first league goal in Albania.
Elbasani’s lead did not last long, as Vora equalised nine minutes later. However, the hosts regained control late in the match, with Arsen Lleshi finishing off a decisive attack to seal the 2-1 win.
Olberkis completed the full 90 minutes, making his 20th league appearance of the season. Meanwhile, 29-year-old forward Ruzgis remained on the bench throughout the match. This season, he has featured in 13 league games and scored once.
With the victory, Elbasani remain third in the Albanian championship standings, just three points behind leaders KF Vllaznia. Vora sit seventh in the 10-team league with 26 points from 25 matches.
