Bohemians Prague, who finished eighth in the recently concluded Czech First League season, have confirmed the signing of Estonian international Vlasij Sinjavskij.
Sinjavski is no stranger to Czech football, having already spent four and a half seasons in the country’s top division. He began his journey with Karviná, where he played for a season and a half, before moving to Slovácko, where he spent the past three years. It was already clear back in January that Sinjavski would not be renewing his contract with Slovácko, as the two sides disagreed on his preferred position—Sinjavski wanted to play as a left-back, while the club primarily saw him as a winger.
In March, the Estonian hinted that he had found a new club for the upcoming season but kept the name under wraps. By mid-May, Czech media reported that he would be joining Bohemians, and the move has now been officially confirmed.
Bohemians have yet to claim a Czech league title, though they were crowned champions of Czechoslovakia in the 1982/83 season. Their best finishes in the modern Czech league have been fourth place—achieved in the 2001/02 and 2022/23 seasons. That 2022/23 campaign also saw them qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League, though their journey ended early with a heavy 2–7 aggregate defeat to Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the second qualifying round.
Sinjavski is not the first Estonian to wear the green and white of Bohemians—Siim Luts represented the club between 2016 and 2018.
Over the course of his Czech First League career, Sinjavski has made 127 appearances and scored 10 goals. Prior to his move abroad, he played in the Estonian Premium Liiga for Narva Trans, Nõmme Kalju, Viljandi Tulevik, and Flora Tallinn.
