Nõmme Kalju captain and goalkeeper Henri Perk has signed a new long-term contract with the club, keeping him in Nõmme colors until the end of 2028.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper joined the club at the age of 14 and has since made 79 Premium Liiga appearances for the first team. Earlier this month, he received his first-ever call-up to the Estonian national team, serving as a substitute during the World Cup qualifiers against Italy and Moldova.
Perk missed a large part of this season due to injury but made his comeback at the end of August. Since returning, Kalju have remained unbeaten in eight matches with him in goal, keeping three clean sheets during that stretch
“As someone who’s Nõmme through and through, I’m delighted to continue working with my boyhood club and to keep playing under the pines of Hiiu,” Perk said via Kalju’s official press release. “After a long and difficult injury period, I’m extremely grateful to the club and coaches for their trust. Kalju have the best fans in Estonia and an incredible atmosphere at Hiiu Stadium. Our goal for the coming years is clear – to bring the Estonian championship title back to Nõmme.”
Head coach Nikita Andrejev praised his captain’s influence both on and off the pitch:
“Henri is a true leader – in the dressing room and on the field. His calmness and confidence give strength to the entire team. After his injury, he’s come back even stronger and shown what true dedication to the club means. Having Henri with us provides a strong foundation for the years ahead.”
