Harju Laagri made a winning start to their Premium liiga campaign with a 2-1 victory away to Narva, with the season opener played indoors and without fans.
Reinhard Reimaa put Harju ahead already three minutes into the match, finishing after a move created by Kaspar Laur. Andres Järve doubled the visitors’ advantage on the half-hour mark, with Sander Alex Liit providing the assist, as Harju took control before the break.
Narva Trans had significantly more shots on goal, but struggled to challenge the 18-year old Jan Vainula in Harju’s goal and capitalise on their chances until the very end, when newcomer Harvey Rowe scored a consolation goal for the home team with a volley from in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. This was Rose’s debut, coming on from the bench in only 73rd minute.
With Vaprus snatching the three points from Paide earlier in the day, Harju beating nominally stronger Trans makes it for not one but two upsets on the opening day of 2026 season.
