JK Narva Trans secured their first victory of the Premium Liiga season, coming from behind to defeat Pärnu JK Vaprus 2-1 in their Matchday 3 encounter. With the result, Trans were the final team in the league to get off the mark in terms of wins this season.

The match began with Trans controlling possession but struggling to create clear-cut chances, while Vaprus largely sat back and looked to hit on the counter. Despite offering little going forward early on, the visitors struck first in the 31st minute through Sten Jakob Viidas, who cut inside from the left and curled a precise effort into the far corner to give Vaprus a surprise lead.

Trans responded before the break and found their equaliser through Gero, who reacted quickest inside the box after a set-piece situation to make it 1-1. The goal reflected the overall pattern of the first half, with Trans enjoying more of the ball but lacking sharpness in the final third.

After the restart, the home side continued to push and were repeatedly denied by Vaprus goalkeeper Ott Nõmm, who produced several outstanding saves to keep his side level. However, the pressure finally told midway through the second half.

From a corner, Stanislav Agaptšev was in the right place at the right time, forcing the ball over the line from close range to complete the turnaround and give Trans a 2-1 lead.

Vaprus had a golden chance to equalise late on, but Trans goalkeeper Daniil Pareiko and his defenders combined to clear the danger almost off the goal line, preserving the lead in dramatic fashion.

The final whistle confirmed Narva Trans’ first win of the campaign.
