Premium Liiga runners up FCI Levadia Tallinn have announced that Dutch attacking midfielder Richie Musaba will leave the club after two seasons, as his contract expires at the end of the year and will not be extended.
The 24-year-old joined Levadia ahead of the 2024 season, arriving from the Dutch second division after several solid years there, as well as brief stints in the Eredivisie with Vitesse and Fortuna Sittard.
Musaba made an immediate impact in Estonia. In his debut season, he quickly established himself as one of the team’s key players and a driving force behind Levadia’s championship run – scoring nine goals and providing seven assists in 35 league matches.
This season, however, his Premium Liiga productivity dipped compared to the previous year. While Musaba still played significant minutes during the summer European campaign – where he impressed with two goals and two assists in six matches – his domestic role gradually diminished as the season progressed. Under head coach Curro Torres, he increasingly found himself on the bench in the latter stages of the league, making only occasional late substitute appearances and finishing the campaign with 25 matches and six goals.
Across his two seasons in Tallinn, Musaba featured in 79 matches for Levadia, scoring 19 goals. His trophy collection with the club includes the Premium Liiga title, as well as one Estonian Cup, one Estonian Supercup, and silver medals in both the Estonian Cup and the league.
