Modestas Vorobjovas with a full game in Istanbulspor’s first win of the season

In the Turkish second division, Lithuanian international midfielder Modestas Vorobjovas played a key role as Istanbulspor AS secured a commanding 4-0 home victory over Umraniyespor.

The 29-year-old midfielder started as usual, anchoring the team in midfield. Istanbulspor set the tone early, with North Macedonian forward Mario Krstovski scoring twice in the first half to give the hosts a strong lead.

In the second half, Istanbulspor added two more goals, sealing their first victory of the season and ending a four-match run of draws. Vorobjovas played the full 90 minutes, marking his fifth appearance of the campaign.

The win lifts Istanbulspor to ninth place in the league table with seven points. The team’s next match is on Friday, when they host Corum.
