MFA Žalgiris lifted their first LMFA Winter Cup after a 3-0 win against Šiauliai in Sunday’s final.
The tournament, featuring six teams preparing for the 2026 Women’s A Lyga season, concluded on Sunday, 22nd February, with the decider played at the Žirmūnai sports complex indoor arena.
Ugnė Lazdauskaitė put the Vilnius side in front in the 12th minute, before Olamide Sandra Adugbe doubled the advantage on 64 minutes. Erika Šupelytė added a late third in the 83rd minute to complete a comfortable victory.
The trophy and medals were presented by LMFA general director Milda Liužinaitė, vice-president Vytautas Tutlys and Lithuania women’s head coach Tomas Ražanauskas.
In Saturday’s third-place play-off, FK Žalgiris won 5-0 against Saned, with goals from Valerija Postol, Irina Topal, Karina Klevinskaitė (penalty), Ineta Šukštulytė and Emperatriz Garcia.
The fifth-place match between Kauno rajono FA and Banga ended goalless at the Panevėžys city football arena. Kauno rajono FA played from the 37th minute with 10 players after Gustė Morkulytė was sent off, but Banga only secured victory on penalties, winning the shootout 4-3.
