# Metta strengthen promotion push as Baumanis hat-trick lifts Leevon PPK
**Metta moved five points clear at the top of Latvia’s second tier after a 4-0 win over Riga Mariners and Valmiera were held 1-1 by Super Nova-2**.

Sellou Jallow scored twice for Metta, while Prince Appiah Amoah recorded a goal and an assist. Rūdolfs Kļaviņskis also found the net as Metta led 3-0 at half-time.

Elsewhere, Super Nova reserves took an eighth-minute lead over Valmiera through Iļja Streļcovs, who finished a counter-attack after Bombana’s pass. Fraj Kayramani equalised from the penalty spot in the 79th minute, converting after Mahamadou Dembele had won the spot-kick.

Leevon PPK made the most of Valmiera’s dropped points, beating Ventspils 4-0. Renē Baumanis scored a first-half hat-trick, with Roberts Aršauskis adding a late fourth. Leevon PPK are level with Valmiera on 52 points, but Valmiera won their first meeting 4-1 and have three of their remaining four fixtures at home. The teams are due to meet again in the penultimate round.

At the other end of the table, Mārupe came from behind to beat RFS reserves 3-2, scoring twice in the closing stages after the hosts had led 2-0. RFS-2 and Ventspils remain level on 15 points.
