According to Portuguese outlet Record.pt, Senegalese striker Alioune Ndoye is set to continue his career in Portugal’s top division with a long-term deal at Vitória Guimarães, running until June 2029.

The 23-year-old forward, who joined Valmiera in 2020, was a standout performer in the Latvian Virslīga, recording 38 goals in 83 league matches. His best season came in 2024, when he scored 22 goals in 32 appearances. Ndoye also played a key role in helping Valmiera secure the Virslīga title in 2022 — a historic achievement for the club.

In early 2025, Ndoye was loaned to Swiss Super League side Servette FC, where he made a strong impression. He scored six goals in 15 games — all coming off the bench — and helped Servette finish second in the league, securing a place in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.

Although Servette had the option to buy, they chose not to exercise it, resulting in Ndoye’s return to Valmiera. However, with the Latvian club now competing in the third tier due to licensing problems, it was evident that Ndoye would move on.

Now, Portuguese media confirm that the talented Senegalese striker is making a major leap forward by joining Vitória Guimarães. The club finished sixth in the Primeira Liga last season and reached the Round of 16 in the UEFA Europa Conference League, where they were eliminated by Spanish La Liga side Real Betis.
