Long-serving FK Tukums 2000 defender Maroine Mihoubi has departed the club after two and a half seasons, completing a move to Bulgaria’s second division.
The 26-year-old Tunisian centre-back joined Tukums in the summer of 2023 and quickly established himself as a key figure in the club’s defensive line. Over his time in the Latvian Virslīga, Mihoubi made 74 league appearances and scored two goals, becoming one of the team’s most consistent performers at the back.
Prior to his move to Latvia, Mihoubi also gained experience in Ukraine’s top flight. He now joins Bulgarian second-tier side Vihren, who currently sit fourth in the table with 33 points from 18 matches.
