FK Riteriai has completed the signing of 32-year-old defensive midfielder Marko Karamarko on a free transfer from NK Zrinski Osjecko 1664. Karamarko, known for his defensive acumen, joins the A Lyga side as they strengthen their squad mid-season.
This marks Karamarko’s return both to A Lyga and to Vilnius, having previously played for Žalgiris between 2020 and 2022
The German-Croatian midfielder has had previous stints in various European leagues, including Germany, Croatia, Belgium, Bosnia and Slovenia, showcasing versatility and experience. Karamarko’s addition to FK Riteriai is anticipated to bolster their midfield options as they aim to improve their fortunes for the second half of 2025 season.
