FC Kuressaare have signed experienced defender Marco Lukka on a two-year contract following the expiry of his deal with FC Flora.
The 29-year-old won six Estonian league titles during his time with Flora and brings significant top-flight experience, having made 183 appearances in the Premium Liiga as well as six caps for the Estonia national team. Kuressaare, of course, is not a new destination for Lukka, who also spent the first half of the 2020 season with the Saaremaa-based club.
“I was genuinely sad to leave Kuressaare last time. Now I’m back,” Lukka told club’s official media. “I want to support the team with my experience and help keep things secure at the back. There are familiar faces here as well as talented young players, and I want to help them in their development. I’m already looking forward to the new season.”
Lukka will join FC Kuressaare for training at the start of the club’s pre-season preparations.
