LV Bet has been confirmed as the title sponsor of Latvia’s men’s second tier league, previously known as Nākotnes līga, and the Latvian Cup for the next three years, the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) has announced.

Under the agreement, the competitions will be renamed the LVBET līga and the LVBET Latvijas kauss.

LFF general secretary Arturs Gaidels said: “The Latvian 1st league championship is our highest and largest club championship organised by the LFF [Virslīga, Latvia’s top tier, is self-organised]. The Latvian Cup, with almost 50 clubs from across Latvia, is also a very large tournament with high added value – a route into European competition – so we are grateful to LV BET for its involvement in developing this league. I wish for fruitful co-operation and mutual development in the coming years.”

The LFF said the partnership will expand coverage of the second-tier championship, with all matches to be made available free of charge to supporters this season via futbols.tv streaming platform. The federation added that two matches per round are planned as featured fixtures with enhanced production by Sportacentrs.com, and four matches during the season will be filmed using a four-camera set-up.

LV Bet regional manager Jānis Jaunzems said the company saw the competition as “an important platform for the development of clubs and players” and said it wanted to help improve access for fans and promote football across the country.

The 2026 season launch event is scheduled for 13th March at 19:00 at the Sportland store in the Spice shopping centre in Riga and will also be shown live. Sportland will again supply official match balls to all LVBET līga clubs and will present monthly player awards.
