FK Banga Gargždai announced that Mantas Bertašius, who made his debut in the Lithuanian national team in November, has extended his contract with the club for another season.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper showcased an impressive performance last season, featuring in 35 league matches, recording 13 clean sheets, and playing a crucial role in Banga’s LFF Cup victory against Hegelmann.

It is worth noting that after his impressive last season, Bertašius attracted interest from other Lithuanian clubs. However, the goalkeeper, who has been with Banga since 2020, chose to remain with the Gargždai squad, which is set to make its debut in the UEFA Conference League next season.
