17-year-old Lithuanian midfielder Adomas Buikus has signed his first professional contract with Italian Serie A side Bologna, his agency GlobalGroupEleven announced on social media.
Born in 2008, Buikus made the move from FK Žalgiris’ youth academy to Bologna last year. Since joining the Italian club’s academy setup, he has impressed at multiple youth levels.
Last season, Buikus stood out in the Italian U-17 league, where he made 17 appearances and scored two goals, showcasing his development and consistency. He was also rewarded with playing time for Bologna’s U-18 team, featuring in three matches in Italy’s top-tier U-18 league.
