Experienced defender Seydina Keita will continue his career in Azerbaijan after FK Gabala announced the signing of the FK Panevėžys player on an 18-month contract.

The 33-year-old returned to Panevėžys for a second spell during the second half of the 2025 season following a stint in Kuwait. In the most recent campaign, the Senegalese defender made 15 A Lyga appearances for the Aukštaitija-based side. He also featured three times in the Lithuanian Cup, providing two assists during Panevėžys’ successful cup run, which culminated in lifting the Lithuanian Cup.

Overall, Keita has made 72 appearances in a Panevėžys shirt, winning one Lithuanian Cup and one A Lyga title with the club.

Earlier in his career, Keita spent several seasons in Latvia’s Virslīga with FK Liepāja and was also part of the systems at Malmö FF in Sweden and Molde FK in Norway.
