The 2026 Lithuania Women’s A Lyga season will start on Saturday, 14th March, with seven clubs set to compete across a four-round format.
Champions Gintra will defend their title in a campaign of 84 matches, with FA Šiauliai, Banga, Kauno rajono FA, Žalgiris, MFA Žalgiris and TransINVEST also taking part.
The opening fixture will be staged at Raudondvaris Stadium, where debutants Kauno rajono FA face MFA Žalgiris at 13:00. Later, on Saturday, Gintra meet FA Šiauliai in the Šiauliai derby at Gytarių Stadium (15:00).
Round one concludes on Sunday, 15th March, when Žalgiris host Banga in Vilnius at 17:00.
League fixtures and results will be published on lietuvosfutbolas.lt, while matches will also be streamed live worldwide on FIFA+.
LMFA president Artūras Vitalijus Krukis said the league’s expansion will bring “one more team and significantly more matches than last year”, adding that the organisers believe in the “quantitative and qualitative growth” of women’s football in Lithuania.
