Three members of the Lithuania beach soccer set-up have been shortlisted for the Beach Soccer Stars 2025 awards after nominations were announced by Beach Soccer Worldwide.
National team forward Mantas Makutunovičius is in contention for the men’s player of the year prize, while Modestas Kulikauskas has been nominated in the men’s goalkeeper category. Lithuania head coach Aivaras Meškinis is also among the contenders in the mixed coach of the year category.
The awards are not decided by a public vote. Beach Soccer Worldwide said the voting is carried out by national team coaches and captains.
Lithuania earned promotion back to Europe’s top tier last year after winning the Euro Beach Soccer League B Division tournament. That return to the A Division means the national side will again face the continent’s leading teams this season.
