The Lithuanian Football Federation has announced the list of candidates for the Lithuanian national futsal team, who began their training camp on Monday in preparation for the upcoming UEFA Futsal European Championship. While the tournament itself will kick off on January 21, Lithuania will begin their campaign a day later, on January 22, with a Group-stage match against Czechia in Kaunas.

Lithuania, who are co-hosting the European Championship alongside Latvia and Slovenia, started their final preparations yesterday in Druskininkai. Ahead of their historic debut at a Futsal EURO final tournament, the Lithuanian Football Federation has named a 17-player preliminary squad. From this group, 14 players will be selected to represent the nation at the championship.

The host nation will play all of their Group-stage matches in Kaunas, where they have been drawn alongside Czechia, Ukraine and Armenia.

All players named in the squad represent domestic clubs. Lithuanian champions FK Kauno Žalgiris are the most heavily represented with six players, while five players come from Jonavos Vikingai. Gargždų Pramogos and FK Bruklinas are also represented in the squad.

The UEFA Futsal European Championship will feature 16 national teams and will run from January 21 to February 7, with matches hosted in Kaunas, Riga and Ljubljana.
