FK Liepāja have announced their first additions of the offseason, securing the services of two players from Ivory Coast, both of whom will be experiencing European football for the first time.

The first signing is 18-year-old centre-back Cisse Mory. Born in Abidjan, the former capital of Ivory Coast, Mory had already signed a contract with Liepāja back in November, but the club officially announced the move today, confirming a three-year deal.

Prior to his move, the young defender was part of AS Denguele, a club competing in the Ivorian top division.

The second new arrival is 21-year-old defensive midfielder Ekou Rodolphe, who has also been involved in Ivory Coast’s highest league. Rodolphe previously represented SOL FC, operating primarily as a holding midfielder, but can also play as a centre-back.

Like his compatriot Mory, Rodolphe has signed a three-year contract with the Liepāja club.

FK Liepāja, who finished third in the Latvian Virslīga last season, have already confirmed that defenders Edvinas Girdvainis, Marko Šimić, Alans Kangars, and Anto Babić, along with winger Roberts Meļķis, midfielder Marin Laušić, and goalkeeper Iļja Isajevs, will not remain with the club.
